Hub of the Month-CINOHX

We were informed by Tempur-Pedic that our Cincinnati LDC has been selected as the Hub of the Month in their network for March 2013. This is a great accomplishment, as there are over 90 hubs in the Tempur-Pedic network, and only one location is selected each month. The Cincinnati survey scores for March were some of the best, and the customer service that you have provided to the Kenwood Retail store have not gone unnoticed by the Tempur-Pedic group.

Great job Rob and Brian !!

Can you smell what the Hood is Cookin?

David Hood cooked up breakfast sandwiches as the Solon team hit one year injury free. David is serving Frank Miller.

Central Region Driver of the Month-March 2013

Please help us in congratulating Roger Medlin, our Central Region Driver of the Month for March 2013.  Roger is a 2 year employee for J.B. Hunt and Intigral.

Don't just take our word for it.  Let Roger's customers speak on his behalf:

I would like to let you know that we really appreciate all Roger has done for us over the past few weeks.  With the recent spike in business he really stepped it up.  Roger is an integral part of our shipping crew.  Please extend our appreciation to Roger and know that JBH is fortunate to have an employee of this caliber.

Thanks,
Robert Rhodes
CDM Supervisor

I couldn't agree more with Robert's letter of appreciation for Roger.  He continues to do an excellent job working with our shipping team; especially during this surge in business.  Roger goes above and beyond the duties of a driver by helping our shipping team satisfy our customers; he does so well that I often forget that he works for J.B. Hunt and not Intigral!

Regards,
Jason E Thomas
VP - Operations

Roger provides the following attributes according to his manager Rich Schwartz:

FLEXIBILITY-
Roger brings a new term to the word flexibility, he proves CVD daily! How? You may ask, well, Roger is a dock worker/driver for Intigral. He loads, unloads and ships his own truck nightly. Also, he is the yard switcher for Intigral and is responsible for getting third shift set up for loading at night. Roger is also the driver that will take emergency loads as far as Oak Park, MI. When Intigral has a need it is always filled by Roger, he is irreplaceable and brings value beyond measure! That is why when Roger is off you can tell he is missed.

SAFETY- NO COLLISIONS
in 2 years! He is one of the safest drivers on the account. He shows his safety knowledge daily and provides comfort for management knowing he will take any load and do it safely.

LOGS-
Roger is on top of his logs and scans them in promptly.

FUEL-
Roger floats from truck to truck but one thing is consistent, he conserves fuel for Intigral.

PEOPLE-
Roger has a one of a kind relationship with Intigral. As you see above, they view roger as an Intigral team member. He is well known and highly thought of throughout the building.

DEPENDABILITY-
Roger is dependable and comes to work on time daily. He has done an excellent job learning Intigral’s computer systems to ship trucks and is always counted on heavily.

As you can see Roger isn’t just a driver, he is the definition of Customer Value Delivery. He does a job so different provides value beyond all recognition.

Congratulations Roger!

Industry News : Large Merger Announced

Greatwide Logistics Services, LLC (“Greatwide”) and Cardinal Logistics Management, Inc. (“Cardinal”) today announced the successful completion of a merger of the two companies, creating a market leading logistics organization offering a broad service platform with annual revenues in excess of $1 billion.

The combined company’s dedicated contract carriage and delivery division will have one of the largest, most diverse dedicated fleet operations in the country and will be uniquely positioned to provide industry leading capabilities for its customers with over $850M in annual revenue, 5,000 drivers, 125 operating locations and demonstrated expertise across multiple industries, including grocery, bulk food, retail, metals and building products. The combination of Cardinal’s expertise in high touch, final mile company truck dedicated solutions with Greatwide’s expertise deploying high service, flexible owner operator based dedicated solutions will create a compelling customer value proposition. In addition, the combined company will continue to offer customers highly customized, value-added irregular route truckload, less than truckload, full service freight brokerage, managed transportation, and warehousing services across the U.S. and Canada.

John Tague, Chairman and CEO of the combined company, said, “We are excited that this transaction creates an industry leading logistics company that is supported by a strong customer base, experienced management team, best in class company drivers and owner operators and a differentiated technology platform that enables creative, low cost solutions for our customers.”
Cardinal Logistics Management provides delivery solutions for U.S. companies coast to coast – allowing deliveries in places where companies do not have sufficient density, activity or resources to justify having their own facilities, drivers and trucks. As has been widely noted, outsourcing is now a key trend as companies look to improve service while cutting costs. Companies like Cardinal provide solutions.

Vin McLoughlin, the newly appointed Vice Chairman of the combined company, said, “Combining the strengths of Greatwide and Cardinal puts us in an excellent position to serve our customers and continue both companies’ history of providing industry-leading service.”

Will Manuel, Senior Managing Director of Centerbridge Partners, L.P. (“Centerbridge”), a leading investment firm and majority owner of the combined enterprise, commented, “We are very excited by this merger as it combines two highly complementary companies that together will be able to offer enhanced service capabilities to all of our customers.”

FMS March 2013 Risk Management

This is a note that was sent out by Tracy Walker today to his team:
It is not by chance that our Final Mile group posted Zero Collisions and Zero Work Comp events in the month of March. Their hard work and dedication to their teams is shining through. Having daily contact with the drivers and installers in the Dock Meetings makes a big difference.

Tracy has asked them the management team to continue to bring quality information to our teams and engage them in these conversations. While we can celebrate our March success, never take for it granted that the months to come will be the same.

We may be the smallest FMS sub region by number, but we have outstanding safety results. Thank you for all you do in keeping our teammates safe.
